The QGraphicsView is now available as an MDL control to mix Open GL renderings with MDL controls.
The GraphicsView features:
Supports arbitrary item layout, layering, and animations.
Fully scriptable via Python.
It offers support for:
Inventor render areas,
MDL panels,
Line, Pixmap, Polygon, Rect, Ellipse items,
WebKit WebView, and
HotAreas with transitions.
Have a look at the macro module GraphicsViewPresentation that is itself implemented using a GraphicsView.
