The main focus for the 4.0 release of the MeVisLab SDK software was the update of third-party libraries, and the removal of many deprecated interfaces and modules.
One of the notable third-party library changes was the update of Qt from version 5.15 to 6.6, which required some adaptations because of removed or changed functionality. We also updated Python from version 3.9 to 3.11. Alongside these changes we did some under-the-hood improvements that might affect the behavior of MeVisLab. Some user-facing improvements are also included, but less than in other releases.
As always we invite you to give feedback on this release. Our forum is the best channel to give this feedback.
See the MeVisLab Release Notes for details on all improvements and changes.
Supported platforms:
- On Windows we provide a Visual Studio 2022 version.
- For Linux we provide a version that has been compiled and tested on Ubuntu 22.04. It should also work with other current Linux distributions.
